Jan. 23rd All-Comers/State Indoor Meet Qualifier Location: The site has been changed from Del Norte to Mira Mesa High School. The meet will follow the same schedule as shown except there will be no Discus Throw and the boys and girls pole will be held at La Jolla High School beginning at 9am. Fees: $7.00 per athlete, unlimited entries up to 4 events(including relays). All fees to be paid in CASH at the time of Registration. For those who qualify for the indoor meet, you will be required to pay your indoor fee of $25.00 in cash/check prior to you leaving Del Norte High School. Registration: Meet Registration will begin at 11:00am and end at 1:15pm. There will be sign-in sheets for every event. Athletes will list their ’09 best or a time/distance indicating where there current performance level is. Athletes will be placed in races according to ability so being dishonest about your marks is not recommended. Registration will conclude at 1:15pm sharp. You may have someone enter you and pay your fees for you, but this is not recommended. State Indoor Qualifier Races: It is recommended that you fill out the online entry form above.This way you will be entered into the hy-tek file prior to the meet and you will only need to pay fees the day of. If you for some reason cannot enter by email prior to the meet, exceptions will be made at registration on the 23rd. You must be entered in the “Qualifying Race” in order to advance to the Indoor Meet. Time Schedule: The Meet will begin at 2:00pm and will continue at a pace as quickly as possible until the last race is run. Since we don’t know how many participants we are going to have, we cannot construct a time schedule. We will start at 2:00pm sharp and run race after race after race until we have concluded. Any questions please e-mail nighthawkstrack@gmail.com CA High School Indoor Qualifying Procedure Qualifying Process: In order to qualify for the “CA Indoor Invitational” you must be in high school, participate in the January 23rd qualifying meet and place in the top 4 for track events and top 2 in field events. You cannot qualify for the State Indoor Invite unless you compete in the specific “Indoor Qualifying” races. Track Qualifying: There will prelims races for the 55 meters and the 55 meter hurdle races. The top 9 times will advance to the finals. The top 4 from the finals will advance to the Indoor Meet in Fresno on the 6th of February. If there are not more than 9 entries for the prelims, the race will be treated as a final and the top 4 will advance. All other track events will be based on time alone. The race will be seeded based on ’09 times and seeded accordingly. In the event we have to run two heats of the 1600/550/800 the top 4 times will advance. We will not have prelims in any races other than the 55 meter races. Field Event Qualifying: There will be 3 attempts in all throws and horizontal jumps. The top 2 placers in the HS Indoor Flight will advance. Fees: There is a $7.00 per athlete entry fee at the Jan. 23rd meet. If an athlete qualifies for the Indoor meet they MUST DECLARE ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 23rd and pay the fee for the Indoor meet prior to leaving the Del Norte Facility. The fee for the California Indoor Invitational is $25.00 per individual event and $100.00 per relay(four team members @ $25.00 each). The maximum charge for a single athlete will cap at $25.00, no matter how many events they qualify for. The Qualifying Meet fees will be CASH ONLY!
